McNally Construction and Aecon Group, working as a joint venture, have begun preparations to remove the $5-million tunnel boring machine that has been trapped under Langstaff Road since May 2, 2008. Approximately 1,000 cubic metres of soil collapsed on the machine during construction of a portion of the York-Durham Sewer System project.
