Work continues on Niagara Convention & Civic Centre

Steel work continues for the Niagara Convention & Civic Centre in Niagara Falls, Ont. Bondfield Construction Co. Ltd., along with MHPM Project Managers Inc., have the opening of the two-storey, design-build centre scheduled for January 2011.

The project includes an exhibition hall, a ballroom, meeting space, 1,000-seat theatre and two levels of underground parking.

The project was designed by CS & P Architects/Stanford Downey Architects/The Kirkland Partnership Inc.

Consultants are: Banerjee & Associates (structural); MCW Consultants (mechanical/electrical); and NAK Design Group (landscape).

Subtrades include: BBM Excavation; Salit Steel Ltd. (rebar); Forma-con (formwork); Better Iron Works (structural); Dufferin Concrete; Nekison Engineering (mechanical); Carlos Electric; General Sprinklers (fire protection); and Schindler Elevators Corp.
