Trust fund established to help families of swing stage accident victims
Vigil planned for Thursday (Jan. 7)
A trust fund has been established to help the families of four workers who died in a Christmas Eve afternoon swing stage accident in Toronto.
That afternoon the four construction workers plunged 13-storeys to their deaths at a 2757 Kipling Ave. apartment renovation work site when a swing stage they were working on came apart.

The accident killed Aleksey Blumberg, Fayzullo Fazilov, Alexander Bondorev and Vladimir Korostin.
A fifth worker, Dilshod Marupov, of Uzbekistan, remains in critical care in hospital after surviving the fall.
The Ontario Ministry of Labour has stated that the accident was a complex one and the investigation is ongoing.
A Tragedy on Christmas Eve Trust Fund has been established at TD Bank branches. The account number is 1076-6432077.
The fund will also be used to bury Blumberg one of two men still unclaimed at the coroner’s office.
A vigil is planned for 7 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 7) at the construction site in honour of the victims.
