U.S. resident dies in Alberta collision

FORT MCMURRAY, Alta.

A man from United States is dead after a highway collision in northern Alberta.

RCMP say Robert Marion, 55, of Georgetown, Ky., was driving a pickup truck in Fort McMurray, Alta., late Saturday when his vehicle collided with a large piece of equipment that was crossing Highway 63.

Marion was taken to hospital in Fort McMurray where he died early last Sunday. The cause of the accident is under investigation, but police say temporary traffic lights had been set up in the area as construction-related traffic was crossing the road at the time.
