Date set for inquest into death of Rodney Bedell

GUELPH

Rodney Bedell, 40, died June 22, 2007 from injuries received during the course of his employment as a roofer at a construction site in Milton.

Under the Coroners Act, an inquest is mandatory when a worker dies as a result of an accident occurring at a construction project.

The inquest will review the circumstances surrounding Bedell’s death and the inquest jury may make recommendations aimed at the prevention of deaths in similar circumstances.

The inquest will be held November 12, 2008 at the Best Western Inn in Milton. About 10 witnesses are expected to appear over three days.
