Construction begins on Royal Jubilee Hospital

A recent ground breaking ceremony with Premier Gordon Campbell marked the beginning of construction on the $350 million Royal Jubilee Hospital.

Developed under a public-private partnership (P3) between the Vancouver Island Health Authority and Acciona Lark Joint Venture, the nine-storey, 500-bed facility will meet LEED Gold certification.

The 37,000-square metre hospital was designed by Cannon Design and will be built by Acciona Lark Joint Venture. Completion is scheduled for December 2010.
