Two Quebec municipalities receive funds from federal-provincial gas-tax revenue program
Québec City
The Municipality of Saint-Faustin-Lac-Carré will receive $227,915, thanks to a federal-provincial agreement on the transfer of federal gasoline tax revenues and a Government of Quebec contribution.
This is the first payment for Saint-Faustin-Lac-Carré which will receive a total of $569,788 by the end of 2009 for important infrastructure projects.
Saint-Faustin-Lac-Carré will use its funds to evaluate and optimize the operation of the wastewater sanitary drainage works, prepare a plan to help determine the structural state of its water distribution system and replace the watermains or sewage pipes under several streets.
The City of Saint-Pamphile will also receive $221,029 under the same federal-provincial agreement.
This payment to Saint-Pamphile is a first for the city, which will receive a total of $552,571 by the end of 2009 for infrastructure projects.
