Building Canada fund invests $100 million in TransCanada highway twinning

LAKE LOUISE

Drivers travelling on the Trans-Canada Highway through Banff National Park can count on a safer and more efficient drive thanks to a recent $100 million federal investment.

The Trans-Canada Highway project will twin an additional 14 kilometres of highway west of Castle Junction. When completed, drivers will benefit from the twinning of the entire roadway all the way to Lake Louise. Funding for the highway twinning comes from the federal government’s $33 billion Building Canada infrastructure plan.
