Girls GETT hands-on experience at trades workshop

The British Columbia Institute of Technology’s “Girls Exploring Trades and Technology” (GETT) program is designed to give girls in Grades 6 to 8 an opportunity to try their hand at common trades.

Participants build a go-kart from scratch and then race their creations at the end of the five-day program.

GETT provides hands-on experience in design, carpentry, painting, machining and shop safety.
