Work continues at the Ronald V. Joyce Stadium at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
Vanbots dominates field at Joyce stadium
Vanbots Construction Corp. plans to complete the $25-million Ronald V. Joyce Stadium in time for McMaster University’s opening football game, to be held May 10, 2008.
Designed by Diamond + Schmitt Architects Inc., the facility features football/soccer stadium with seating for over 5,400 people, underground parking garage directly below the field, sports injury clinic, media suite and multi-purpose locker rooms.
Consultants are Halcrow Yolles (structural); and Vanderwesten and Rutherford (mechanical/electrical); and GPS Group (landscape).
Subtrades include McLeod Engineering (site services); Bell Excavating; Hardrock Forming; Gilbert Steel Ltd. (rebar supply); M & G Steel (structural steel); Darlington Steel; Coreslab Structures (Ontario) Inc. (precast bleachers); Comstock Mechanical; Guild Electric Ltd.; Rainbow Waterproofing; M & I Aluminum (glazing); Sobotec Ltd. (siding); and Flynn Canada Ltd. (roofing).
