Vanbots tailors Harry Rosen renovation to fit

The doors remain open as construction progresses on the additions and renovations to the Harry Rosen flagship store at 82 Bloor St. W. in Toronto.
Construction manager Vanbots Construction Corp. began work on a $7.5-millon renovation and two-storey addition for owner Harry Rosen Ltd. last December. Completion is scheduled for March.
The Harry Rosen addition and renovation was designed by Ron Shieh Architect/Tony Ng Architect.
Consultants are: YWY Engineering (structural); MCW Consultants Ltd. (mechanical/electrical); and Harry Rosen (interior design). Subtrades include: Murray Demolition; HC Matcon (shoring/caissons); C & T Reinforcing Steel Co. (1987) Ltd. (rebar supply); CC Construction (formwork); Lido Wall Systems (EIFS) Cult Iron Works (structural steel); St. Marys CBM (concrete supply); Anco Drywall; Vision Painting; Limen Masonry; Bering Mechanical (mechanical/sprinklers); General Sprinklers; Metric Electric Contractors Ltd.; M & I Aluminum Ltd. (windows); FJ Construction (fireproofing); Pro Bel (roof anchors); Provincial Roofing; and Otis Canada Inc. (elevators).
