Veisman Consulting crafts Spire condominiums project

Work is ongoing for the Spire condominiums at Church and Adelaide streets in Toronto. Construction manager Veisman Consulting Ltd. began the 45-storey, 361-unit project in September 2004 and completion has been scheduled for summer 2007. It will also include four levels of underground parking and ground floor retail. The Spire project was designed by architects Alliance/Thomas Gluck Architect. Consultants are: Jablonsky Ast & Partners (structural); Hidi Rae Associates Inc. (mechanical/electrical); and Diane Gerrard Landscape Architects. Subtrades include: Millenium Excavation; Rumble Foundations (Ontario) Ltd. (shoring/caissons); Avenue Building Corp. (formwork); Gilbert Steel Ltd. (rebar supply); Tri-Krete Ltd. (precast); St. Marys CBM (concrete supply); Paris Kitchens (cabinets); D. Zentil Mechanical Ltd.; Speedy Electric Contractors Ltd.; Allan Window Systems Inc.; C.A. Tedesco Waterproofing Inc. (roofing); and ThyssenKrupp Elevator Ltd.
