ADF Group to expand workforce
ADF Group Inc. has signed contracts worth $25.4 million in the United States, including one to make heavy steel components for Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.
The company said it will also participate in the construction of a new terminal at the international airport Luiz Munoz Marin in Puerto Rico
The firm has also been awarded the engineering and fabrication works of the steel structure for a new passenger pier at the country’s port of San Juan.
As a result of the new contracts, the Quebec-based steel superstructure maker said it plans to increase its workforce.
“These contracts will total about 110,000 hours of work in our shop, and as planned we will increase the number of workers in our plant in the near future and according to the level of activities,’’ CEO Jean Paschini said.
The company expects sales growth of more than 20 per cent for the year ending Jan. 31, 2006.
