TORONTO

Bridgepoint Health and Infrastructure Ontario have selected Plenary Health Bridgepoint as the preferred proponent selected to design, build, finance and maintain the new Bridgepoint Hospital in Toronto, which will replace the existing facility.

Expressly designed to serve people in need of rehabilitation services and living with complex chronic disease and disability, the new 600,000 sq. ft. hospital will be 10 storeys high, with larger rooms, space for therapies and a capacity for 472 beds.

The historic Don Jail will be incorporated into the new site. The interior will be refurbished, preserving its historical significance, into the administrative and education centre for the hospital. It will be open to the public, on a prescribed basis.

The Plenary team includes Plenary Group, HDR Architects/Diamond Schmitt Architects Inc., PCL Constructors Inc., Johnston Controls Inc., Innisfree and RBC Capital Markets.
