Aecon Group Inc. has announced that its Buildings Division has been awarded a $31 million contract to build a veterinary complex in St-Hyacinthe, Quebec. The project, which will begin in July, involves the construction of a 90,000 square-foot facility for diagnosis of diseased animals.
Aecon Group Inc. has announced that its Buildings Division has been awarded a $31 million contract to build a veterinary diagnosis complex in St-Hyacinthe, Quebec for the Ministere de l’Agriculture, des Pecheries et de l’Alimentation du Quebec.
The project involves construction of a three-storey, 90,000-square-foot veterinary complex for the diagnosis of potentially diseased animals.
A 1,700-square-foot interior atrium separates 11,000 square feet of office space from 48,000 square feet of laboratory and necropsy facilities. The project also includes an effluent decontamination system. Construction is scheduled to begin in July and completion is expected by summer 2011.
